My first novel, Untamed Valor, was published electronically on January 29, 2014 by Soul Mate Publishing and will be released in paperback in the fall of 2014. It is a future Earth story of two young people from opposing cultures who must bring those cultures together in order to survive. The result could impact the existence of humanity on the planet.

A free electronic novella, Persistent Valor, will be released in the summer of 2015. It tells the hero’s story leading up to the events in Untamed Valor. Some time after that, the heroine’s backstory, Timeless Valor, will also become available. Meanwhile, I am laboring to finish the sequel to Untamed Valor, tentatively titled Hidden Valor.

I first saw my words in print when I was 13, authoring a 4-H column in the local weekly, the Highline Times. At 16, I took up a column for my local purebred dog club in the internationally circulated breed magazine, Kee Topics. In high school, I was features and copy editor for the award-winning Highlines school newspaper and elected to Theta Sigma Phi women’s honorary. I have authored other columns in purebred dog publications including The AKC Gazette and The English Cocker Quarterly, contributed articles for The English Cocker Spaniel Club of America Review and the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America Yearbook, ghost wrote much of the award-winning Volume III book The English Cocker Spaniel, edited newsletters for three dog clubs and for a local swim club, as well as written an educational swimming manual and a feature swimming article in the Arizona daily paper, the Valley Tribune.

My other published fiction to date is an excerpt printed in Scribe’s Showcase, an anthology of the Superstition Mountain Scribes in Mesa, Arizona. It was from a completed medieval story about an Oliver Twist-like street rat, though Jer is more like the Artful Dodger.

I have also completed two biblical stories, To Preserve Life and As a Prince. While seeking representation for those, I labor on The Stars and the Sand, a third biblical novel. My writing friends tease me about hitting extreme ends of the historical spectrum.

In addition to writing, I enjoy church work, classical music and showing and judging purebred dogs. I am a member of several (okay, six) purebred dog organizatons and keep show statistics for my national breed club. The Writer’s Guild of Texas talked me into serving on their board of directors before electing me president in 2013. I also belong to the the Lesser North Texas Writers, Dallas Area Romance Authors and Romance Writers of America.

I live in Texas with my dear husband and assorted pets. Two of our adult sons live nearby, the oldest married to a wonderful woman, and the youngest, also a bachelor, lives in Arizona.

After being given a book from a friend, Sharon fell in love with the world of fantasy.

Working full time at the local hospital, she writes when she can and will be releasing her debut novel, ‘Bound to Survive’ on the 1st February 2015.

Sharon has also begun writing a selection of children’s books under the pen name of Rachael Du Laurent. She lives in Adelaide South Australia on a small property with her husband and their four dogs.

Desperate to escape haunting memories of death and destruction, York and his best friend sneak away from their sealed mega-City home. Lured too far from safety by plants and animals on Earth, a planet long thought to be dead, they blunder into the arms of murderous savages.

Dragged from the wild freedom of North America’s Palouse Hills, seventeen-year-old Sascha has only her telepathic Gift protecting her from a forced marriage to a man she detests. When the two young City Men beg for her help, she must overcome her childhood nightmares in order to help them.

After escaping, they are still trapped in enemy territory, where even Sascha’s survival skills combined with York’s technology are not enough to keep them alive. They must bring their cultures together to survive. Will they be able to overcome centuries of ancient fears and prejudices to reach freedom and find love?
